Cameron and La’Erica’s love story is a beautiful reminder that God’s timing is always perfect.
Their paths first crossed at The House of God Church, where both were dedicated to the music ministry—Cameron on drums at the Middletown branch and La’Erica on steel guitar at the New Haven location. Though they shared many of the same services, fate had yet to bring them together. That is, until one fateful evening.
At a small gathering La’Erica hosted for her brother, Cecil, their mutual friend, brother, and fellow musician, Jason Whitehead, made the introduction. In that moment, something incredible began—a spark that quickly blossomed into a deep and lasting friendship.
Not long after, Cameron invited La’Erica to his grandfather’s church to play the steel guitar. When she stepped into the church for the first time, she was immediately embraced by the warmth of the spiritual atmosphere. It wasn’t long before she became a permanent part of the church family. From that day forward, Cameron and La’Erica’s bond continued to grow as they worked together in music ministry, Sunday School, and countless other church/family events. Despite being on very different life paths, their friendship remained unwavering. Over time, and much to their surprise, their connection deepened, and they realized their love story was always meant to be.
Their musical background, faith, and commitment to ministry laid the foundation for a love that is both strong and enduring. As they discovered, their journey was always meant to be walked together.
Cameron and La’Erica’s hearts are devoted to serving others—La’Erica through her healing work in the medical field, and Cameron through the transformative power of music.
With God at the center of their love, they are ready to begin this next chapter of their lives, hand in hand, hearts intertwined, and spirits united in a love that will last a lifetime.
